DNA and aging.
Anti-aging treatments are useless because they are not affecting the DNA itself. The aging in biological organisms means that the DNA will not transfer to the next generation of cells. When cells divide, the DNA will not copy to the next generation perfectly. And also, things like chemical and electromagnetic stress causes damage to the DNA. If we want to stop aging we must deny the damage to the DNA.
When cells are operating as part of the organism. Cells metabolism causes waste starts to accumulate in the cells. And that causes damage to the DNA. Also, electromagnetic stress causes oscillation in the DNA molecule. That oscillation breaks chemical bonds in the molecule. And that is the reason why interstellar spaceflight is so difficult.
The researchers must deny the damage to the DNA. And that is one problem. If the astronauts will put in normal narcosis, that thing denies the social problems. But it does not affect aging. In some models, the astronauts will be frozen in liquid nitrogen or helium. But the problem is how to wake them up.
DNA damage causes things like cancer. The enzyme that protects human cells against viruses helps tumors to evolute. Cancer is one of the results of damage to DNA. Cancer cells are very close to stem cells. And in some visions genetically engineered cancer cells can use to create organs for people.
The idea is that genetically engineered cancer cells create cell mass. And then, the virus transferred to those cells and turns them into the wanted cells. In some visions, the researchers will put DNA at the end of the tumor cell's DNA. And then they would turn to wanted cells.

In some visions. The DNA of every person's stem cells will be stored in laboratories. And then those stem cells will be cloned if the person requires stem cells. That guarantees that every person has stem cells if that person needs them.
The thing. What makes so-called living fossils interesting is that. They can comply with environmental changes. This ability means that those fossils can live in extreme conditions. Of course, things like their environment can affect that ability. If the species lives in deep seas. That means their environment is stable. But in the cases of aging the interesting creatures are things like turtles that live in the same environment as we are living.
One of the most interesting creatures in aging research is the Greenland shark. No other vertebrate animal can live so long time as the Greenland shark. That shark can live over 500 years.
When we are trying to clone things like stem cells or understand them, we must find the species. That has a certain ability. Then, researchers must find the DNA sequence of a DNA code. That controls this wanted ability. If researchers want to slow aging, they must find species. That has an extremely long lifetime. Then, they must research the environment where that creature lives.
That eliminates the environmental effect. If the long life is the result of the environment. That means the DNA is useless. And after that, they must find the DNA sequence that involves the code that guarantees a long lifetime. This is why things like turtles and certain sharks called Greenland sharks are interesting.
