About the polarization of information

The mission of journalists is to share and route the information about the things, what is done. And this is the problem with journalism. In a normal situation, journalists are working for some media house, what must earn its funding by selling the product. This causes the situation, that there is so much negative news in the media.

Information polarization means, that there are very much stories and data, but the data is filtered that it shows only one side of the thing. That causes the thing, that there is only one aspect, what is underlined in those stories, what gives the very dramatized view for something, what is happened.

Negative news sells better than positive and glad news. When we are looking for news, we are facing many stories about violence, and the reason, why that news is increasing the sale of the newspaper or news is, that people are worried about the people, who they know, and who might be harmed in those cases.

The equipment of violence are always interesting or do you know anybody, who is not interested in the weapons and police actions. And of course, military aircraft and equipment are always interesting, and interesting things are a good way to increase the sale of the news. But when we are thinking about negative news, we are not seeing the news about pollution, or another kind of things, if they are not somehow connected with some broken buildings or humanitarian catastrophes.

Interesting news is the key element for making good selling newspapers. And dramatic pictures are the thing, what makes sales for the newspaper, and this is, why we are reading stories, there wolf attacks and kills dogs, but we are not reading the news when the wolf eats the last member of some mammal species. When some species are losing from the Earth, that thing is not very dramatic.

The beast comes or some animal closes eyes, and one era in the history is ending. And those silent extinctions happen all the time on Earth. Animals, what have not even seen by humans are losing from our planet forever, and maybe the last Megalodon is just eaten by some other sea creatures. This is the way in nature. But those things are not been written in any newspapers.

We are not reading about cases, where some African state have been polluted very large areas by using PCB, and the pollution causes because of the handling of electronic garbage is defective. Those things are not interesting us, but that PCB is in someday on our saucer, because fish are eating this chemical, and it would transfer to the food. But this is not an interesting way to share information.

Will humans survive the sun's red giant stage?

"As the Sun matures into a Red Giant, the oceans will boil and Earth will become uninhabitable." (The Conversation, The sun won’t die for 5 billion years, so why do humans have only 1 billion years left on Earth?) Sooner or later, all stars use their hydrogen. And then they turn into red giants. Sun is a yellow G spectral class star that turns into a white dwarf. But before that, the sun will turn larger.  The sun turns red and that means. It starts to send more infrared radiation. This thing will turn Earth into a hellish temperature that vaporizes water from Earth.  It's possible. That Earth will also vaporize with Venus and Mercury. Some scientists say that we have only 1 billion years to move farther in the solar system. The habitable zone will go to the distance of Jupiter and Saturn, and maybe humans find a safe place in those distant moons.  It's possible that before Sun will grow too large humans make large groups of mirror satellites or large shields that sho...

Metamaterials can change their properties in an electric- or electro-optical field.

"Researchers have created a novel metamaterial that can dynamically tune its shape and properties in real-time, offering unprecedented adaptability for applications in robotics and smart materials. This development bridges the gap between current materials and the adaptability seen in nature, paving the way for the future of adaptive technologies. Credit: UNIST" (ScitechDaily, Metamaterial Magic: Scientists Develop New Material That Can Dynamically Tune Its Shape and Mechanical Properties in Real-Time) Metamaterials can change their properties in an electric- or electro-optical field.  An electro-optical activator can also be an IR state, which means. The metamorphosis in the material can thermally activate.  AI is the ultimate tool for metamaterial research. Metamaterials are nanotechnical- or quantum technical tools that can change their properties, like reflection or state from solid to liquid when the electric or optical effect hits that material. The metamaterial can cru...

The new observations and observation tools are revolutionizing nanotechnology and the way of thinking in physics.

ScitechDaily.com "A new study has overturned a fundamental principle of physics by demonstrating that similarly charged particles can attract each other in a solution, with the effect varying between positive and negative charges depending on the solvent. This discovery has significant implications for various scientific processes, including self-assembly and crystallization". (ScitechDaily, Opposites Attract, Likes Repel? Scientists Overturn Fundamental Principle of Physics) The research reveals the importance of solvent structure at the interface in determining interparticle interactions, challenging long-held beliefs and indicating a need for a re-evaluation of our understanding of electromagnetic forces. Credit: Zhang Kang". (ScitechDaily, Opposites Attract, Likes Repel? Scientists Overturn Fundamental Principle of Physics) New observations about magnetic fields. And same polar particle or object interaction revolutionized the knowledge of magnetism. They say. The sy...
